imageIt’s Friday before a long weekend…can’t you just feel the potential? I’m setting the next few days aside for some self indulgent rest and relaxation. So far my to-do list is: read, have breakfast outside, paint the toes and go for a run followed by a nice bath. I do have a craft project in mind too so check in on Monday for that! But back to the bath…I’m prepping this tub treat in advance. You should too!

Lemon sugar scrub

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil (I use grape seed but almond and olive work too)
  • the juice of 1 lemon or 4 tbsp bottled lemon juice

Mix the oil and lemon juice in a bowl. Add the sugar and stir or whisk until well combined. It’ll be kind of grainy – that’s good. Spoon it into containers – I like the wee canning jars for this. Add a lid and you’re done! Makes 2 1/2 cups – perfect for gift giving.
imageUse this in the shower or tub on wet skin to exfoliant and moisturize at the same time. It’s especially nice after a workout.
A word of caution: if you use this in your bathtub, give it a rinse out afterward to get rid of any slippery oil left behind.
A note about oil: for locals, the Bulk Barn sells oil in bulk. I paid less than $2 for mine!

Alright friends, enjoy your weekend and relax!
