I have a confession to make. I’m having a really hard time getting off the sweets after indulging over the holidays. Is anyone else with me? A co-worker suggested green tea in the afternoon. Are you kidding me?…how do you chew on that? I like snacks and that feeling of being deprived just doesn’t work for me. I think I’ve found a much better option and it’s called Peanut Butter and Honey Yogurt Dip. Here’s a recipe that’s satisfying my sweet tooth AND is pretty healthy too. Got 5 minutes?…you can make some too.
- 3/4 cup greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
- 3 tablespoons peanut or almond butter, use the good stuff not Skippy
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined. I like a small whisk for this but a spoon will do. Play around with it to suit your taste. More peanut butter may be your jam!
I’m enjoying dunking apple slices in this dip as a mid-afternoon snack but also try it on your morning oatmeal or a digestive biscuit. Packed with protein, this is a much better everyday choice than say, caramel sauce! It also pairs really well with green tea!
